Job Summary
Crisis Clinician role providing psychosocial crisis assessment, counselling, and follow-up within a multi-disciplinary team in Oxford County (Tillsonburg & Ingersoll, ON).Responsibilities include crisis assessment and counselling via telephone and in person, short-term psychotherapeutic interventions, harm-reduction-focused planning, system navigation, and follow-up to connect clients with longer-term supports. Requires a university degree in a related field (RPN, bachelor’s or master’s in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology or related), active professional registration with a relevant Ontario college, a valid driver’s license, and PVSC. Flexible weekly schedule includes biweekly 28 hours with in-person shifts, and the role offers HOOPP participation and 9% in lieu of benefits. Preferred to have extensive crisis intervention experience, community-based social services knowledge, and bilingual capabilities in English and French, with strong knowledge of Oxford County services and recovery-oriented care.
Required Qualifications
- RPN, bachelor's or master's degree in Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology or related field
- Currently registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, the College of Nurses of Ontario, the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, or the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario
- Valid Driver’s licence and access to a vehicle to carry out job duties
- Current, satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC)
- Demonstrated ability to attend work regularly
