Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, determine DSM-V diagnoses, and develop treatment plans for adults with severe mental illness or significant trauma. Deliver 50% of time in outpatient clinic settings and 50% in community-based roles, including home visits, shelter support, and coordination with state systems. Provide case management, discharge planning, and community linkages while maintaining competency in evidence-based models. Complete clinical documentation per agency and HIPAA standards, participate in peer consultation, and contribute to program improvements. Requires a Master's degree, active Connecticut license, and 2+ years post-graduate experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related counseling field
  • Active Connecticut license required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, Psychologist)
  • Minimum 2+ years post-graduate outpatient experience (program-dependent)
  • Demonstrated cultural competency and experience with diverse populations
  • Strong diagnostic, assessment, and therapeutic skills across individual, family, and group modalities
  • Knowledge of behavioral health and child welfare systems, and community resources
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently while seeking consultation as needed
  • Proficiency with basic computer and documentation systems
