Job Summary
Maintain assigned caseloads by providing direct care including assessments, individual counseling, group facilitation, and discharge planning. Submit daily progress notes, bio-psychosocial assessments, and treatment plans while ensuring all medical records are professional and complete. Comply with Federal Regulations, HIPAA, and confidentiality policies, and participate in treatment team meetings and case conferences. Link patients with aftercare services and facilitate access to outpatient care. Utilize walkie-talkie as a campus responder and attend mandatory trainings and continued education. Maintain licensure and adhere to patient rights and standards precautions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral health field
- Minimum of one (1) year of supervised substance abuse counseling experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- An understanding of the relationship between substance abuse and mental health issues and/or self-help programs
- Diagnostic, assessment skills and case management ability
- Interagency collaboration
- Ability to facilitate a group/lecture
- Ability to set limits and enforce rules
- An understanding of boundaries and ethics
- Computer skills
