Job Summary
Inpatient wound care nursing per diem role providing consultation and dedicated clinical care for skin, wound, and ostomy management. Responsibilities include developing and implementing nursing care plans, documenting assessments and interventions in the electronic medical record, educating staff and patients on skin care and wound ostomy care, coordinating discharge needs with case management, and collaborating with wound care specialists for post-discharge follow-up. Travel between two main campuses may be expected; role emphasizes quality patient care, staff education, and ongoing competency development in wound, ostomy, and continence therapy.
Required Qualifications
- RN license in NJ or multi-state licensure
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (BSN preferred)
- Must acquire CWOCN, CWON, or CWCN within one year of hire
- Two years of RN experience in an acute care facility or wound care center
- AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider certification
