Job Summary
Clinical pharmacist specialist responsible for managing unit-based pharmacy practice, collaborating with the health care team, and contributing to department goals; duties include overseeing medication orders (including age-specific considerations), preparing sterile products, providing education and drug information, participating in pharmacotherapeutic plan processes and committees, supervising healthcare staff, and engaging in projects to enhance patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
- Post-graduate education in health-system pharmacy services.
- PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency and/or equivalent clinical experience of three years.
- PGY-2 Pharmacy Residency and/or Pharmacy Board Certification, BLS and ACLS certifications and/or equivalent experience of greater than three years.
- Current, active, unrestricted pharmacy licensure for appropriate state
- Must acquire licensure within 120 days of hire date.
