Transport patients independently, monitor their condition en-route, and utilize the transportation algorithm to determine appropriate follow-up for emergent or urgent needs. Move non-monitored patients, specimens, charts, films, and equipment to designated areas using wheelchairs, stretchers, and other devices while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment. Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and other clinical disciplines to meet patient needs, screen incoming requests via phone, and report changes in patient status to licensed staff. Complete thorough documentation in a timely manner and maintain oxygen, wheelchairs, and transport chairs in accordance with hospital standards.
