Job Summary
Deliver Workplace Violence Prevention training programs to staff across multiple organization sites. Collaborate with managers, coordinators, and unit leadership teams to develop standardized clinical support and training programs that transfer WVP strategies into daily practice. Coordinate training activities to support individual and group learning needs while establishing priorities and planning sessions aligned with project goals. Facilitate knowledge transfer through teaching, demonstration, and coaching in accordance with professional ethics and organizational values.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Education, or relevant Health Sciences Professional degree
- two (2) years' recent, related experience in training and/or group facilitation
- equivalent combination of education, training and experience
- Current practicing registration with applicable provincial College as applicable
- Valid B.C. Driver's License
- Broad knowledge of applicable Professional Practice ethics and standards of practice
- Broad knowledge of teaching principles, methods and tools
- Broad knowledge of other health care disciplines and their role in patient care
- Demonstrated ability to teach, demonstrate, facilitate and coach
- Demonstrated ability to support the development of curriculum, objectives and learning materials
- Demonstrated ability to use research methods, techniques and/or sources of information
- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally clearly, objectively and effectively
- Demonstrated ability to listen to and understand ideas and information presented in groups and one-on-one
- Demonstrated ability to communicate information and ideas clearly, and concisely, in writing
- Demonstrated ability to read and understand information presented in writing
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills and the ability to evaluate information against a set of standards
- Demonstrated ability to establish workload priorities independently and in collaboration with others
- Demonstrated ability to provide effective consultation to a variety of customers
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
- Demonstrated ability to show sensitivity, tact, and professionalism
- Demonstrated intermediate to advanced computer literacy with email, word processing and presentation applications
- Demonstrated ability to operate related equipment
- Physical ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position
- Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check
- all health care workers working in publicly-funded health care facilities are required to report their past receipt of certain vaccines or history of certain infections
