Job Summary
Clinical Therapist at Pine Rest Zeeland Clinic provides assessment, counseling, treatment and referrals/advocacy for patients with mental health and substance use disorders. Responsibilities include interviewing and assessing patients, selecting and applying therapeutic interventions (individual, group, family, experiential, evidence-based models), collaborating with interdisciplinary team members, ensuring medical record documentation and timely progress notes, coordinating services as needed, participating in meetings and trainings, maintaining Michigan licensure, pursuing continuing education, and supervising interns as assigned. The role may involve home visits, weekend or evening work, crisis interventions, safety planning, and contributing to a recovery-focused, person-centered environment. Strong emphasis on evidence-based practices and ongoing professional development; opportunity for leadership in crisis situations and program initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Current state licensure in an accredited Master’s level program in Social Work, limited license Psychologist or Professional Counseling
- Obtain and maintain in good standing certification commiserate with treatment provided
- Trained to work in the age group of the patient being served with annual continuing age specific education and demonstrated competence
- One to two years of postgraduate clinical experience
