Job Summary
The Clinical Therapist position requires a Master's or Doctorate degree in a relevant field and New Mexico licensure in applicable counseling/designation areas. Candidates should have two years of experience in behavioral health, particularly with SED children and SMI/SUD/COD adults. Proficiency in community resources and effective communication with clients and families is essential. The role emphasizes work-life balance, creativity, and adherence to high standards of behavioral health service provision.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree or Doctorate from an accredited college or university in Social Work; Guidance and Counseling; Psychology; or related health field
- Two years of experience working with SED children and families or SMI/SUD/COD adults
- New Mexico Licensure in one or more of the following: LPCC, LCSW, LMFT, PhD, PsyD, LMSW, LMHC, LPAT
- Thorough knowledge and use of community resources
- Ability to establish positive relationships, communicate and work cooperatively with clients, families, colleagues, staff, and community members
- Computer literate to maintain compliance with BHSD Standards
- Current, valid NM Driver’s License and clean driving record
Desired Qualifications
- Bi-lingual/Bi-cultural preferred (English/Spanish)
