Job Summary
Clinical Therapist within Kinark’s community-based child and youth mental health program. Provide comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for high-risk youths and families, delivering individual, family, and/or group therapy in office- and community-based settings. Responsibilities include risk assessment, safety planning, engagement strategies, formulation and treatment planning, delivering evidence-based interventions, tracking progress through notes, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Requires some evening work, travel within Ontario, and a valid driver’s license. Must be registered with the relevant Ontario regulatory college and eligible to practice psychotherapy; Master’s Degree preferred (or Bachelor’s with extensive relevant experience); bilingual ability is an asset. ”,
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or a Health-Related Discipline with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Must be registered and in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) as a Social Worker, or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO)
- Must be eligible and able to perform Psychotherapy as defined under the act
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience working in a mental health setting
- Excellent clinical assessment, formulation and treatment planning skills
- Experience with Triple P-Positive Parenting program, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Brief Therapy assets
- Experience with family therapy and group work with children and parents preferred
- Travel is required; valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable vehicle; willingness to obtain business auto insurance with minimum $1M liability
- Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Screening and Pre-Employment medical
- Bilingual English/French encouraged
