Job Summary
Clinical Technologist 1 in Dermatology/Dermatopathology at Yale supports histology laboratory operations, including preparation and staining of skin specimens, slide labeling and accessioning, and maintenance of QC logs. Under supervision, you will operate and maintain lab equipment, handle registration and accessioning of specimens, ensure HIPAA and safety compliance, and assist with both clinical and research tasks. Requires strong communication, multitasking, and proficiency with lab software and Microsoft Office; prior clinical lab experience and knowledge of lab safety are preferred. Work hours are M-F 5am–1pm, on-site in New Haven.
Required Qualifications
- Four years of related work experience, two of them in the same job family at the next lower level, and a high school level education; or two years of related work experience and an Associate's degree; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Proven experience working in a clinical laboratory setting and familiarity with laboratory protocols and safety standards.
