Job Summary
Clinical Technician in ophthalmology assists in patient care including greeting patients, performing diagnostic ophthalmic tests (visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry), entering data into EMR, preparing patients for procedures, assisting with minor surgeries and injections, educating patients on medications and post-operative care, maintaining HIPAA privacy, and supporting the ophthalmology team with documentation, sterilization, and patient flow. Requires high school diploma or GED, valid driver's license, ability to stand or sit for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs; EMR experience and medical terminology knowledge preferred; entry level (0-3 years).
