Job Summary
Lead Ophthalmic Technician performing diagnostic tests (visual acuity, tonometry, lensometry), patient education, EMR documentation, minor surgery assistance (intraocular injections, laser treatments), and sterilization in a clinical ophthalmology setting. Maintains patient records in accordance with HIPAA requirements, supports with documentation of chief complaints and history, and collaborates with physicians. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week. Requires a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, ability to stand/sit for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs; typically 3–5+ years of experience; COA/COT/COMT eligibility encouraged.
