Job Summary
Greet patients, explain appointment expectations, and escort them to exam rooms for diagnostic ophthalmic tests including visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry. Perform procedures such as applying eye drops, conducting muscle function tests, and assisting with minor surgeries, intraocular injections, and laser treatments. Accurately document chief complaints, present illness, and past medical history in the electronic medical records system while safeguarding patient information per HIPAA requirements. Educate patients on medication administration and pre/post-operative instructions, and de-escalate dissatisfied patients using problem-solving skills. Maintain clinic environment through sterilization and cleaning. Entry-level position with 0-3 years experience; M-F schedule with competitive wages and robust benefits.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- 0-3 years of Experience
