Job Summary
Medical Assistant within an orthopedic team at OrthoVirginia, performing a mix of clinical, administrative, and maintenance duties. Responsibilities include preparing exam rooms, interviewing patients and recording medical histories, educating patients on cast/traction care and orthopedic appliances, inputting orders (x-ray, physical therapy), coordinating and scheduling appointments including preoperative testing and post-operative care, assisting with patient flow, and maintaining clean and stocked treatment areas. Requires strong customer service, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; organization participates in e-Verify.
