Job Summary
Clinical Team Leader in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory leads frontline nursing staff on the designated shift, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient unit operations. Responsibilities include staffing plans based on patient acuity, monitoring workflow, coordinating patient flow from admission to discharge, participating in department initiatives and process improvements, conducting peer interviews, aiding in investigations, and supporting departmental and organizational quality measures. Requires BSN, Texas RN license (or compact), charge nurse training, BLS/ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications, and advancing certification within 2 years (e.g., CCRN, CEN, RNC). The role combines clinical leadership with operational oversight in a 12-hour shift pattern, with call requirements, at Methodist Mansfield Medical Center in Waxahachie, TX.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing: BSN required
- Completion of charge nurse training and competencies (if external hire, must complete within 90 days of hire)
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Clinical Course Certifications (Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardio Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, NRP, etc.) consistent with RN requirements for specific clinical area
- Advanced Specialty Certification or agreement to obtain within 2 years (CCRN, CEN, RNC, etc.)
