Job Summary
The Clinical Team Leader performs direct patient care as the charge nurse, ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include providing leadership and decision-making for departmental staff, developing staffing plans based on patient needs, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring efficient patient flow. The leader assists management in achieving departmental goals including patient experience and quality measures. Qualifications include a BSN, a current RN license, charge nurse training, and necessary clinical certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing: BSN required
- Completion of charge nurse training and competencies within 90 days of hire for external hires
- Current RN license in the State of Texas or compact license
- Clinical Course Certifications (Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardio Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, NRP, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced Specialty Certification or agreement to obtain within 2 years (CCRN, CEN, RNC, etc.)
