Job Summary

Monitor application effectiveness and resolve issues associated with installed technologies, including diagnosing software failures and analyzing trends. Modify applications to meet user requirements, define reports, and prepare statistical summaries. Participate in application upgrades and conduct quality control on implementations prior to release. Act as a liaison among IS, clinical end users, patient care departments, and vendors to advocate for user needs and coordinate support requests. Recommend process changes based on risk and failure points to maximize system advantages. Maintain awareness of vendor developments and document all relevant activities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Care Administration, Clinical Information Systems, Informatics, Information Technology, or Sciences
  • At least 5 years of healthcare industry experience
  • At least 5 years' experience with clinical software and/or hardware technology or databases, including designing, configuring, training, or implementing clinical systems applications

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with Philips Patient Monitoring skills from a clinical engineering perspective
  • IT knowledge overseeing integration with EHR applications
  • Full understanding of the complex Philips Patient Monitoring platform
