Job Summary

Conduct quality clinical supervision and work direction for direct reports, overseeing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programs for children with developmental delays, disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders. Facilitate behavior programs based on ABA principles, perform behavior assessments, and serve as an Assessor when needed. Provide parent education, deliver intervention activities, and act as a liaison between the organization, families, community agencies, therapists, and health care providers. Perform evaluations, case-management reviews, quality assurance reviews, and audits as assigned by the Regional Clinical Director. Manage and evaluate associate performance, prepare specialized training materials, and lead staff meetings. Ensure associate responsibilities are clearly defined and oversee recruitment and selection processes. Maintain current knowledge of autism research and trends through conferences and trainings. Requires 2-3 years of experience with ASD, a Master's degree in ABA, and BCBA certification. Up to 50% local travel required.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree in ABA or related field
  • Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification
  • current CPR certification
  • 2-3 years of professional experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) in a multi-disciplinary team setting
  • Expert knowledge of scientifically validated methodologies and behavioral analytic approaches found to benefit children with ASD
  • familiarity with current related research findings
  • Expertise in approaches to intervention based on the science of Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Competence in employing and directing behavior analytic methodologies including Pivotal Response Training (PRT), Natural Environment Teaching (NET), Picture Exchange Communication System (PECS), Behavior Skills Training (BST), and Experimental Functional Analysis (EFA)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to interpret and implement policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to maintain customer service orientation and professionalism in all interactions
  • Ability to communicate effectively, through oral and written skills, and work cooperatively with a variety of individuals and groups
  • Ability to relate well to children and their families and maintain positive affect
  • Ability to exercise discretion, demonstrate good judgement, and maintain a high level of confidentiality to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation
  • Ability to pass a post-offer physical examination and a TB test
  • Ability to provide proof of required vaccinations or positive titer showing immunity
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a criminal record/fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and Federal Bureau of Investigation per Easterseals Southern California and/or program requirements
  • Ability to travel locally; maintain driving record in compliance with Transportation Safety Standards; maintain auto insurance and vehicle registration
  • Ability to handle occasional exposure to unpleasant or hazardous working conditions (noise, heat, dust, bodily fluids, etc.) 5-20% of work time
  • Up to 50% local travel required
