Job Summary
Provide integrated counseling and holistic services to young adults ages 18-24 with serious mental illness, substance use disorders, or cognitive disabilities. Deliver evidence-based interventions, de-escalate crises, and escort clients to offsite meetings while advocating with outside providers. Create confidential records, ensure regulatory compliance, and participate in weekly multidisciplinary meetings to assess strengths and challenges. Conduct workshops on life skills including hygiene, anger management, job development, and college readiness. Collaborate with community providers to make referrals and support housing stability for individuals at risk of homelessness.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Human Services or related field
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services with 4 years' relative experience
- 2+ years of management experience working in a social service or related setting, with people diagnosed with psychiatric disabilities and people struggling with substance use
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- demonstrated ability to interact professionally with diverse staff, consumers, and other stakeholders
- Strong administrative and organizational skills
- Previous experience working with adults with psychiatric disabilities utilizing the recovery model
- Commitment to peer support
- Ability to assess priorities and manage a variety of activities in a time sensitive environment and meet deadlines with attention to detail and quality of service provision
