Job Summary
Assist nursing staff with daily operations by providing limited patient care, including applying monitoring equipment, removing IVs, and preparing for discharge under RN supervision. Manage patient flow throughout the surgical process while ordering and stocking supplies for the OR, Pre-Op, and PACU departments. Transport discharged patients and enter patient data into computer systems. Perform intermittent physical mobility involving lifting up to 25 pounds, bending, kneeling, and moving carts and equipment. Requires BLS certification and high school diploma; CNA preferred. Full service ambulatory facility offering modern technology in a caring environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- BLS certification required
- All Inova Surgery Center employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, or must receive approval under the COVID-19 Vaccination Exemption Policy
Desired Qualifications
- CNA preferred
- Previous work experience in an acute-care facility or ambulatory surgery center preferred
- Possesses professional communication skills for effective sharing of information with patients, families, physicians and professional nursing staff
