Job Summary
Provides clinical support for prior authorizations, medications and equipment orders (DME), and other clinical workflows to support patient care. Assists in obtaining payor approvals, manages documentation for prior authorizations and DME, reviews medical records for relevant information, and coordinates with providers, patients, and payors. Proficient in EPIC charting and in-basket/WQ management; maintains HIPAA-compliant confidentiality; communicates progress and any additional documentation needed to providers and patients; participates in quality-improvement initiatives and clinical audits; supports clinic operations during high-volume periods; aims to deliver timely approvals and coordinated care across pediatrics, women’s health, family medicine, and dental service lines.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medical Assistant Certification or 1+ year of equivalent experience
- Experience across more than one service line
- Proficient in EPIC charting
- Ability to travel 15% or more within state
- CPR certification (to be completed within 90 days of employment)
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA
