Job Summary
Provides point-of-care education to equip nursing staff with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to provide comprehensive and effective care to patients presenting with complex surgical conditions. Facilitates learning experiences in the clinical setting to foster the development of high quality clinical care and supports the surgical clinical areas within Cabrini Health’s Clinical Education department. Requires RN with AHPRA registration and active clinical experience in acute surgical specialties, plus qualifications in training and assessment and demonstrated ability to deliver education, provide performance feedback, and liaise with stakeholders to promote lifelong learning for staff.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA
- Victorian Working with Children Check
- Current TAE40116 – Certificate IV Training and Assessment (or equivalent, or willingness to work toward)
- Recent and relevant clinical experience within an acute surgical speciality
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in an acute nursing speciality
- Facilitation of clinical learning and the provision of performance feedback and remediation processes
- Ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Familiarity with data collection and management processes
- Sound knowledge of teaching and learning principles
Desired Qualifications
