Job Summary
Obtain informed telephone authorization and conduct comprehensive medical and social history risk assessments with families of patients who authorize donation. Collaborate directly with clinicians to perform medical screenings on patients to determine donation eligibility. Manage all aspects of tissue and shared organ cases, ensuring seamless transitions and effective case completion while providing accurate, timely information to internal and external stakeholders. This rotating 12-hour shift schedule runs from 1:00 PM to 1:00 AM, including weekends and holidays, alternating between four-day and three-day workweeks. Candidates require post-secondary training in a relevant field with strong case management and communication skills. Indiana Donor Network serves as the state's federally designated organ recovery organization and accredited tissue bank, linking donors with patients awaiting life-saving transplants.
Required Qualifications
- Post-secondary training or education in a relevant field
- Bachelor's degree
- Strong case management & communication skills
- Excellent data entry & computer skills
- Experience with one or more electronic medical record systems
- The ability to multitask in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work rotating 12-hour shift schedule from 1:00 PM – 1:00 AM
- Must pass drug screening
- Must pass background check
- Must pass verification with the Social Security Administration
- Must pass criminal records review
- Must pass DMV check
- Must pass Office of Inspector General check
