Job Summary
Provide basic direct and indirect patient care under the direction of the registered nurse as part of the unit-based team. Maintain Certified Nurse Assistant - California Certification and Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association. Perform duties in Med Surg 1 with bi-weekly scheduled hours totaling 64 hours at 0.8 FTE. Work involves standing the majority of the shift, lifting up to 35 lbs frequently, and performing tasks requiring sitting, kneeling, climbing, and squatting.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in English reading and writing
- Certified Nurse Assistant - California Certification
- Basic Lifesaving Certification - American Heart Association
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently
- Ability to stand the majority of the shift
- Ability to sit, kneeling, climbing and squatting
