CLINICAL SUPPORT, CMA FT- DERMATOLOGY NORTH

Job Summary
Collaborates with the provider to determine patient needs and assists with patient care in dermatology settings; performs duties such as interviewing patients, recording medical history, preparing patients for examination, taking vitals, entering data into the EHR, scribes for the provider during office visits, and assisting with dermatologic procedures (ED&C, biopsies, cosmetics). Maintains clean/exam rooms, processes specimens and requisitions, manages referrals and schedules tests/procedures, handles pre-certifications, triages patient calls, processes prescriptions, and adheres to OSHA/HIPAA standards. Requires CMA credential, dermatology experience a plus, and strong multitasking, accuracy, and communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Certified Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited institution
- Completed Association of Certified Dermatology Technician Course or will complete within one year of hire
- 1-3 years clinical medical experience preferred
- BLS trained and certified at all times
- Computer literate
- Basic Life Support certification required
- Ability to work in fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and work as a team player
- Excellent computer skills
- Able to follow clinical pathways and protocols
- Excellent customer service skills
