CLINICAL SUPPORT, CMA -EAST MED PEDIATRICS

Job Summary
Collaborates with the provider to determine patient needs and assists with delivering quality medical care. Verifies patient information and medical history, prepares patients for examination (vital signs, basic measurements), enters data into the EMR, and maintains exam/treatment rooms. Assists with minor office procedures, schedules tests/procedures, manages referrals, triages patient calls, and conducts ancillary testing (EKG, spirometry, phlebotomy, rapid tests, urinalysis). Provides patient education, adheres to HIPAA and OSHA standards, and supports continuous quality improvement. Requires pediatric experience, BLS certification, and team-oriented, detail-focused performance in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant from a nationally accredited institution
- High School graduate or equivalent
- One year of relative medical assistant experience if completion of a Medical Assistant program qualification is not met
- 1-3 years’ clinical medical assistant experience is preferred
- Electronic Medical Record experience preferred
- Basic Life Support certification is required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and work as a team player
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to follow clinical pathways and protocols
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to handle higher-stress phone calls
