Job Summary
Provide psychotherapeutic services to participants while delivering individual and group clinical supervision and training to staff, volunteers, and interns. Document supervision hours per Board of Behavioral Sciences requirements and assist with recruitment, orientation, and evaluation of clinical personnel. Monitor clinical records to ensure adherence to contract standards and best practices, then read and approve service summaries and chart documentation. Address services through family systems and trauma-informed lenses, participating in training on grief, crisis intervention, and motivational interviewing. Collaborate with community agencies to meet clinical needs and respond to client record requests, subpoenas, and court orders. Carry a clinical case load as needed and attend all required staff meetings and agency-wide committees.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in a behavioral science or related field
- Licensed by the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences; Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- 21 years of age or older
- Minimum of 2 years post license to provide clinical supervision per the Board of Behavioral Science required
- Access to reliable transportation to travel regularly throughout San Diego County
- CPR/AED, and First Aid Certification, must include Adult and Child/Infant
- Negative TB test results obtained within the past one year
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience supervising clinical staff and interns
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and/or adults and their families providing mental health services, including individual, family therapy, risk management, crisis intervention, and case management
- Experience providing mental health services for children and youth to access various services including, education and social services
