Job Summary
Support administrative functions for the ICU department service, including developing plans, overseeing orientation, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Direct, supervise, and evaluate personnel while ensuring efficient departmental operations and proper use of time and equipment. Assume full administrative scope of the unit in the absence of the Director or Manager. Continually assess care and direct staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care, performing direct patient care only as needed. Communicate with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally. Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Work full-time nights shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Current ACLS (AHA) 30 days upon of hire and maintain current for ER, ICU and Telemetry
- PALS within 30 days of hire for units that admit pediatric patients
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- RN-C within 2 years of hire preferred
