Job Summary
Coordinate multi-disciplinary team members and direct nursing staff to plan and provide direct and indirect care for patients, families, and care partners. Guide employees under supervision while ensuring safe, optimal health care outcomes aligned with Patient Centered Care and Service Excellence standards. Lead the healthcare team in acute care specialty settings, demonstrating professionalism and excellence in all interactions. This role assumes shift responsibility and accountability for planning and provision of care at Summerlin Hospital, a 496-bed facility featuring a busy maternity department, Children's Medical Center, and advanced cardiovascular services.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- BSN
- Minimum of one-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing
- One to three years supervisory experience preferred
- Must be proficient in physical assessment of the cardiovascular patient
- Fluent in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
- Comfortable with 12 lead EKG interpretation
- Knowledgeable and experienced in stress testing
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada
- Current BLS Certification
- ACLS, PALS, NRP and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire)
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
Desired Qualifications
- One to three years supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledgeable and experienced in stress testing
