Job Summary
Plan and provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients, families, and care partners. Coordinate multi-disciplinary team members and direct nursing staff to obtain safe, optimal health care outcomes. Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team while overseeing employees under supervision. Interpret 12-lead EKGs, assess cardiovascular patients, and manage cardiac arrhythmias. Assume shift responsibility and accountability for weekend coverage. Demonstrate Service Excellence standards and apply patient-centered care principles.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- BSN
- Minimum of one-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing
- One to three years supervisory experience
- Must be proficient in physical assessment of the cardiovascular patient
- Fluent in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
- Comfortable with 12 lead EKG interpretation
- Knowledgeable and experienced in stress testing
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada
- Current BLS Certification
- ACLS, PALS, NRP and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire)
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
Desired Qualifications
- One to three years supervisory experience
- Knowledgeable and experienced in stress testing
