Job Summary
Plan and provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients, families, and care partners while coordinating multi-disciplinary team members. Direct and facilitate nursing staff to obtain safe, optimal health care outcomes, providing professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Oversee and guide employees under supervision, demonstrating Service Excellence standards and applying Patient Centered Care principles. Manage shift responsibility and accountability for the Cardiac Care Unit, including interpreting 12-lead EKGs and managing cardiac arrhythmias. Requires BSN, current Nevada RN license, and ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications. Full-time night shift position.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- BSN
- Minimum of one-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing
- One to three years supervisory experience preferred
- Must be proficient in physical assessment of the cardiovascular patient
- Fluent in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
- Comfortable with 12 lead EKG interpretation
- Knowledgeable and experienced in stress testing
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada
- Current BLS Certification
- ACLS, PALS, NRP and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire)
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
Desired Qualifications
- One to three years supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledgeable and experienced in stress testing
