Job Summary
Assume shift responsibility and accountability for planning and providing direct and indirect nursing care to patients, families, and care partners on the Cardiac Care Unit. Coordinate multi-disciplinary team members, direct nursing staff, and facilitate safe, optimal health care outcomes while supporting activities that meet facility vision and goals. Provide professional leadership and guidance to employees under supervision, demonstrating Service Excellence standards at all times. Requires a BSN, current Nevada RN license, and proficiency in cardiovascular assessment, 12-lead EKG interpretation, and cardiac arrhythmias. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
- BSN
- Minimum of one-year full time or three years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing
- One to three years supervisory experience preferred
- Must be proficient in physical assessment of the cardiovascular patient
- Fluent in cardiovascular anatomy and physiology
- Comfortable with 12 lead EKG interpretation
- Knowledgeable and experienced in stress testing
- Current RN license in the State of Nevada
- Current BLS Certification
- ACLS, PALS, NRP and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire)
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility
Desired Qualifications
- One to three years supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledgeable and experienced in stress testing
