Job Summary
Supervise and mentor counselors in training through one-on-one sessions, group therapy, and weekly supervision meetings. Conduct regular counseling sessions, develop patient treatment plans, and coordinate care with community providers while handling crisis interventions. Facilitate hands-on training via observation and case record reviews, lead treatment team meetings, and implement new programs. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by conducting peer file reviews and advising on caseload management. Encourage unlicensed counselors to obtain licensure and participate in community relations activities. Work 5am to 12:30pm with a CADC-S, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT license.
Required Qualifications
- CADC-S, LPC, LCSW, LMFT
- Comply with federal and state regulations for certification, licensure, and degree
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently under pressure and handle multiple tasks
- Proper judgment with confidential and sensitive issues
- Effective decision-making in stressful situations
- Knowledge of human behavior and rehabilitation of drug-dependent patients
- Familiarity with the substance abuse population and treatment planning
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with office equipment
- Effective communication skills by phone or in person
- Adequate vision for reading correspondence, computer screens, and forms
- Ability to handle variable workloads and high-stress levels
