Job Summary
Supervise nursing operations for the acute care GI unit and assume 24-hour nursing responsibility when the Manager or Director is absent. Lead the unit-based leadership team while working with a specific patient population. Maintain current Georgia Registered Nurse licensure and hold Basic Cardiac Life Support certification. Work rotating shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM, including weekends on a rotating basis.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Three (3) years experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Nursing with two (2) years of experience in clinical area with a minimum of one (1) year in area of specialty
- Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or Nurse Compact (NLC/eNLC) or Multistate license
- Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS)
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
- 7PM-7:30AM work hours
- Weekend Requirements: Yes- Rotating Basis
Desired Qualifications
- Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.)
- Other clinical specialty certifications in specific units
