Job Summary
Clinical Staff Pharmacist PRN at Luminis Health interfaces with patients and care teams to ensure safe, high-quality, economical use of medications. Responsibilities include verifying order accuracy, reviewing prescriptions for ingredients, strength, dosage, allergies and interactions; communicating with prescribers to clarify orders or recommend alternatives; providing drug information to patients and staff; supervising Pharmacy Technicians and supporting intravenous admixture and aseptic preparation; participating in patient care rounds, medication reconciliation and unit-based quality initiatives; maintaining records and supporting the Investigational Drug Service; and contributing to formulary decisions and cost-reduction efforts. Requires Doctor of Pharmacy or PharmD/BS with relevant experience and a Maryland license; inpatient experience is required, PGY-1 residency or board certification preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Pharmacy Degree or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy with commensurate experience required
- At least 1 year of experience in an inpatient setting required
- PGY-1 residency or Board Certification preferred
- Current Maryland State License
