Job Summary
Clinical Staff Pharmacist provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, optimizing medication therapy, preventing disease states, and promoting health and wellness from birth to death. Responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting provider medication orders, completing pharmacy consults, providing drug information and education to healthcare professionals and patients, directing technician workflow, managing medication use (including compounding, storage, and dispensing), collaborating with the pharmacy team to ensure optimal patient care, and leading medication use evaluations and process improvement initiatives. Requires Doctorate of Pharmacy (PharmD) or PharmD-equivalent, 1 year of pharmacy practice experience or PGY-1 residency, and licensure with KBP, plus BLS and ACLS within 90 days; remote-work hybrid capability and facility alignment with Stormont Vail Health policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Doctorate PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
- 1 year Pharmacy practice experience as a licensed Pharmacist or completion of PGY-1 accredited pharmacy practice residency
- Licenses and Certifications: Pharmacist - KBP; Basic Life Support - BLS; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support - ACLS within 90 days of hire
