Job Summary
Assess patients' pharmaceutical needs and provide pharmaceutical care through direct patient-centered interventions. Review, fill, and verify medication orders for accuracy, screen for drug interactions and allergies, and counsel patients and healthcare professionals on drug therapy. Perform accurate and efficient compounding and dispensing of prescriptions while monitoring therapy to prevent adverse reactions. Supervise pharmacy workflow and operations in the absence of the pharmacist-in-charge, utilizing the pharmacy computer system to obtain pertinent patient information. Serve on hospital and system committees as assigned, complete medication therapy management documentation, and ensure compliance with legal policies and confidentiality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D
- Current state pharmacist licensure in good standing or licensure eligibility in state of employment within 90 days of hire
- Immunization certification (if Retail or Specialty)

- Preferred 1-2 years of pharmacy experience
