Job Summary
Conduct accurate order entry, interpret medication orders for interactions, and screen for adverse drug reactions. Perform compounding of non-sterile products, prepare and label IV admixtures using aseptic technique, and fill prescriptions while supervising technicians. Counsel patients and healthcare professionals on drug therapy, initiate physician consults for dose calculations, and document clinical interventions. Maintain medication and supply inventory, manage controlled substances, and operate pharmacy computers and equipment. Respond to codes and emergency situations as required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy, Pharm.D., or other advanced degree
- Licensure eligibility in state of employment
