Job Summary
Lead Radiation Oncology Peri Anesthesia nursing staff in a bedside capacity while dedicating one eight-hour shift weekly to administrative duties including quality checks, rounding, and supervisor check-ins. Provide operational and quality oversight, coordinate development opportunities, and act as the liaison between patients, families, and the health team. Collaborate with House Supervisors, Managers, and Relief Staff Leaders to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality patient care for children with cancer and sickle cell. Serve as the voice of your unit within the Nursing Leadership team. Requires a BSN, current Tennessee or non-compact state nursing license, and BLS certification. Salary range $86,320 - $154,960.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current Tennessee State Board of Nursing license (if primary residence is Tennessee)
- Current State Board of Nursing license in the state of primary residence (if the state is a Nurse Licensure Compact state)
- Any Magnet approved relevant clinical or leadership certification within 3 years of hire
- 2+ years of clinical experience
- Monday - Friday 8 hour days (beginning between 0700-0830 each day) or Four (10-hour) shifts with alternating day off (0630-1700)
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree (preferred if Bachelor's is not in Nursing)
- Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric oncology experience
- Experience in planning and managing delivery (including resources, scheduling, and timelines)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams
- Supervisory/management experience, managing/mentoring early career team members
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and other computer applications
- Proven performance in earlier role
