Job Summary
Perform specialised Interventional Radiology procedures while ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. Assist radiologists and the multidisciplinary team during complex interventional procedures, operating and maintaining specialised equipment in accordance with departmental protocols. Monitor patient condition before, during, and after procedures, escalating concerns when necessary, and provide clinical leadership to junior staff. Maintain accurate patient records and participate in quality assurance, audit, and service improvement initiatives. Collaborate effectively with consultants and other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient service delivery. This permanent full-time role requires a recognised qualification with current CORU registration and at least six years of post-graduate experience. Required Qualifications
- Hold a Diploma of the College of Radiographers (Diagnostic), a Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Radiography, or an equivalent qualification.
- Qualification must be recognised and validated by the Irish Institute of Radiography and Radiation Therapy with current CORU registration.
- Minimum of 6 years' post-graduate experience in Radiography.
- Substantial experience in Interventional Radiology is essential.
- Demonstrated experience working effectively within a team of Radiographers.
- Ability to manage both clinical and non-clinical situations efficiently.
- Proven ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with staff and management at all organisational levels.
- High level of responsibility, initiative, and problem-solving ability.
- Evidence of continuing professional development and interest in quality improvement initiatives within Interventional Radiology.
