Job Summary
Conduct individual and group counseling using evidence-based practices while performing emergency mental health assessments and coordinating medication needs with medical staff. Participate in daily meetings, case discussions, and treatment planning to support families and natural support systems in engaging with the treatment process. Assist clients with transportation needs, coordinate with community partners, and contribute to continuous quality improvement efforts during the team's on-call rotation. This onsite role at the Cumberland County Guidance Center in Bridgeton, NJ, supports a multidisciplinary team delivering compassionate mental health care to individuals and families.
Required Qualifications
- A Master's degree in social work, psychology, or another human services field
- At least two years of post-bachelor's experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness
- Strong knowledge of community resources and support agencies
- A valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean five-year driving record
- A flexible schedule
- A commitment to meeting client needs with empathy and professionalism
