Job Summary
Coordinate patient care for in and outpatients, assist in evaluating treatment plans, and enhance case management to improve unit throughput. Lead specialized clinical training, provide direct patient care, and guide junior staff on standards, procedures, and documentation. Develop procedures and protocols, identify new equipment needs, and collaborate on performance improvement and clinical research projects. Collect data, suggest methodologies for research, and prepare educational materials for patients and house staff.
Required Qualifications
- Degree and NYS License with valid, current registration in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology
- Minimum of five years as a licensed therapist with progressive responsibilities and development in a specific clinical area
- Good oral communication and interpersonal skills
- Speech Pathologist Lic-NYS
- Phys Thrpst License-NYS
- Occup Thrpst License-NYS
- ASHA Cert
- Five years experience
Desired Qualifications
- Advanced Degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech-Language Pathology
- Teaching experience
- Clinical Specialist Certification in area of expertise
