Job Summary
Provide clinical expertise and support to nursing homes and long-term care facilities in the management of wounds and wound-related conditions. Develop and implement wound care plans for residents in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, educate staff on proper techniques and equipment usage, and monitor progress to adjust plans as needed. Maintain current knowledge of best practices and stay abreast of new developments in the field. This role requires an active nursing license with at least three years of experience in long-term care facilities and wound care certification preferred. Starting salary is $75,000/yr with benefits including travel reimbursement, paid holidays, PTO, and health coverage. Schedule is Monday through Friday.
Required Qualifications
- Active nursing license
- At least 3 years of nursing experience in nursing homes or long-term care facilities
- Strong understanding of wound care principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong computer skills and proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must be comfortable driving distances up to 2 hours away
Desired Qualifications
- Wound care certification preferred
