Job Summary
Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant assists with patient registration and pre-exam testing, performs and documents preliminary eye tests, and explains each step of the process. Acts as a liaison between patients and Optometrists, supports onsite and remote eye exams, initiates remote conferencing, manages scheduling and insurance preauthorization, and facilitates patient transition to retail staff after exams. Requires strong customer service, attention to detail, HIPAA compliance, and the ability to work flexible schedules and travel between locations as needed.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) year of related experience
- Optical or Healthcare background preferred
- Medical office/business professionalism required
- HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience
- Training provided
