Job Summary
Clinical Specialist provides technical and clinical leadership in cardiac surgery, educates physicians, residents, fellows, and operating room staff on indications and techniques for Medtronic Surgical Based Therapy products, and supports first-case and complex procedures. This role serves as the clinical resource to drive physician adoption across the Southwest District (Houston, San Antonio, Rio Grande Valley), delivers hands-on training and wet-lab sessions, collaborates with Territory Managers and Medical Affairs, and travels 60–70% to multiple accounts to ensure safe adoption and ongoing physician education across Heart Valve, Left Atrial Appendage Management, Repair, Surgical Ablation, and Revascularization portfolios. Requires strong relationship-building with surgeons and clinical teams, ability to troubleshoot procedural challenges, and ongoing engagement in clinical evidence dissemination and competitive intelligence. U.S. work authorization sponsorship is offered for Principal-level roles and above; candidates at other levels must possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 8 years experience including cath lab, CVOR, or Clinical experience
- Associate Diploma with a minimum of 6 years experience
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience
