Job Summary
Clinical Specialist for CardioVascular Surgery within Medtronic's Southwest District providing technical/clinical leadership, physician education, and first-case support across Houston, San Antonio, and the Rio Grande Valley. Responsibilities include educating physicians, residents, fellows, and OR staff on indications and techniques for Surgical Based Therapy products; developing clinical knowledge and serving as a clinical resource for troubleshooting; coordinating with sales to drive physician adoption; leading hands-on training, wet labs, and educational programs; and traveling 60–70% to support programs and events. Requires a High School Diploma with extensive clinical experience or an Associate/Bachelor’s degree with commensurate years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to reside within the territory. Travel, collaboration with District Managers, and ongoing education across Heart Valve, Left Atrial Appendage Management, Repair, Surgical Ablation, and Revascularization portfolios are key aspects of the role. U.S. work authorization sponsorship is limited to Principal-level roles and above; non-Principal roles require unrestricted U.S. work authorization at hire.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma with a minimum of 8 years experience including cath lab, CVOR, or Clinical experience OR Associate Diploma with a minimum of 6 years experience OR Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience; valid driver’s license and willingness to travel as required within territory.
