Job Summary
Respond to social needs and issues in the Emergency Department and inpatient services by completing biopsychosocial and trauma assessments. Provide trauma-informed, strengths-based interventions and case management for patients and families, including crisis intervention, safety planning, and counseling on child protective needs, intimate partner violence, substance use, and homelessness. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and community providers while utilizing motivational interviewing and trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral treatment. This 40-hour onsite role (M-F rotating evening/night shifts) at Boston Children's Hospital requires an LICSW with master's degree and clinical social work experience.
Required Qualifications
- A master's degree in social work
- LICSW in the state of MA
- Previous medical social work experience
- Strong clinical skills and experience with various therapeutic modalities
- Cultural sensitivity and comfort with a wide range of racial and ethnic populations
- Cultural competence
- Comfort in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
- This is a 40-hour 100% onsite position
- (M-F) rotating evening/night shifts
