Job Summary
Clinical Social Worker provides hospital-based social work services to patients and families, performing psychosocial assessment, direct clinical services, brief intervention, and coordination of services. Builds a network of community agencies to facilitate referrals and contribute to the development and implementation of department policies, programs, and procedures. Ideal candidates have a Master’s in Social Work, RI licensure (LCSW/LMHC; LICSW strongly preferred and to be obtained within 3 years), and experience in healthcare settings as part of an interdisciplinary care team.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work
- RI Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- RI Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (strongly preferred)
- LCSWs must obtain LICSW within 3 years from date of hire
- Experience in healthcare setting strongly preferred
