Job Summary

Design, deliver, and evaluate clinical skills training programmes aligned to service requirements and organisational priorities. Facilitate and assess clinical competencies across practitioner groups, including Basic Life Support, choking management, and practical skills like venepuncture and ECG acquisition. Lead case-based learning, reflective practice sessions, and competency assessments while developing training resources and maintaining clinical equipment inventories. Support induction and capability development for new staff, contributing to education-led quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives. Promote collaborative working across clinical, operational, and governance teams to ensure clinicians possess the knowledge and confidence required for safe patient care.

Required Qualifications

  • You will be a registered healthcare professional
  • You will be a registered healthcare professional, such as an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, Enhanced Clinical Practitioner, Nurse or Paramedic
  • You will have significant clinical experience in urgent, primary, community or integrated care settings
  • You will be confident delivering education, training or competency assessment
  • You will have excellent communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • You will have a strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement
  • You will be able to work effectively across multi-disciplinary teams
  • Current registration as a healthcare professional
  • Significant clinical experience in urgent, primary, community or integrated care
  • Experience delivering education, training or competency assessment
  • Strong communication, presentation and facilitation skills
  • A sound understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement
  • The ability to build effective working relationships across clinical and non-clinical teams
  • A proactive, supportive and improvement-focused approach to workforce development

  • A formal teaching or education qualification
  • Experience developing competency frameworks or educational programmes
  • Experience supporting service improvement or workforce development projects
  • Experience managing clinical equipment and training resources
